All you need for the rice is
Wild rice- 1cup(can use basmati rice also)
walnuts- 1\2 cup
Dried Cherries-!\2 cup
Salt
Butter- 1 tbsp
water- 3 cups
For Cucumber Raita
Yogurt-1 cup
Cucumber-1 (grated)
Salt
Cumin powder-1\2 tsp
Method of preparation
In a pan , add butter
When the butter is melted , add the remaining ingredients
Cover and cook for half an hour
Check if the rice are done otherwise add more water
If using plane Basmati rice add only 2 cups of water for 1 cup of rice
For Raita
Whisk the yogurt till smooth
Add cucumber, salt and cumin powder
Mix well
Serve it chilled
