    About This Recipe

Apple Cinnamon Cake is a delicious moist tea cake made from fresh apples, with a hint of cinnamon.

To make this easy and moist tea cake, you can also caramelize apple with brown sugar for the topping which gives it a fantastic taste and flavor.

Believe me, once you taste this one, you will definitely make it again and again just like me.

Also for someone who likes fruits and cinnamon, this tea cake is surely a delight.

This is a healthier option because we are using Whole Wheat Flour and Oats, instead of All-Purpose Flour.

For more flavor and aroma, you can also add coffee.

To give it more crunch, you can add dry fruit such as Walnuts, Raisins, Almonds, etc.

    This Apple Cinnamon Cake is,

    • Aromatic
    • Moist
    • Delicious
    • Filled with the goodness of Apples
    • Apt for weekend brunch

    Ingredients

    Apple Cinnamon Cake Ingredients.

Apples – This is one of the fruits that are available all around the year. So get some fresh apples, chop them finely and add into the batter.

Oats and Whole Wheat Flour – These two ingredients, oats, and whole wheat flour makes this cake healthy. Usually, we use all-purpose flour and these two are a great healthy alternative.

Cinnamon Powder – Cinnamon Powder and Apples, are a bomb combination. It not only adds to the taste but adds to the aroma too.

Milk – We will also use milk in this cake. For a vegan option, you can even use Almond Milk.

Vanilla Extract – Vanilla extract adds a slight hint of vanilla flavour to the cake.

Other Ingredients – Other ingredients required for this cake are Baking Powder, Baking Soda, Butter, Sugar, and Egg Whites.

    Step By Step Recipe

Preheat the oven to 350 Degrees F (180 Degrees C). Grease and line an 8-inch baking pan.

Cake pan lined with parchment paper.

Beat butter and sugar in a bowl till light and fluffy.

Butter and sugar added in the bowl of mixer.

Add egg white and whisk well.

Egg s added one at a time.

Add flour, cinnamon powder, baking powder, and baking soda and mix until combined.

Flour, cinnamon powder, baking powder, and baking soda added in the bowl.

Now add milk and mix well.

    Milk added in the bowl.

Add oats powder, vanilla extract, and apples and mix until combined.

Oats powder, vanilla extract, and apples added in the bowl.

Transfer the batter in the prepared baking pan.

Batter poured in the prepared pan.

Bake for 40-45 mins until a tooth pick comes out clean. Remove the pan from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes. Remove the cake from the pan and cool completely on a cooling rack. Cut into slices and serve.

    Ready apple cinnamon cake.

    Frequently Asked Questions

How to make Eggless Apple Cinnamon Cake?

One of the ingredients that you can use instead of Eggs to make this mouth-watering tea cake is Greek Yogurt.

It makes the cake moist and gives it a nice texture.

But if you are looking for a Vegan option, then you must give Flax Seeds a try as the substitute for Eggs.

Grind the flax seeds and make a coarse powder.

Although I must say that lighter cakes such as sponge cake, or lighter colored cookies get a grainy texture and look spotty with the color of flaxseeds.

If your recipe demands for 1 egg, then measure 1 tablespoon of flax meal with 3 tablespoons of water.

Stir well and let the mixture rest for about 15 minutes.

Resting it for 15 minutes will help the flax meal mixture develop a gelatinous consistency exactly like eggs.

After 15 minutes you can use the flax seeds mixture according to your recipe.

How to make Gluten-Free Apple Cinnamon Cake?

If you are looking for a Gluten-Free option, then you can use a Gluten-Free Flour as a substitute.

So give this delectable and addictive tea cake a try and let me know if you like it as much as I like to make it at home.

How to know if your Cake is ready?

Once your cake is ready, insert a toothpick to see if the cake is properly baked.
Also, always bring it to room temperature before you devour this delicious cake.

Can we make cupcake with the same batter?

Yes, you can! The only difference will be the baking time. While the cake takes 40-45 minutes, whereas the cupcakes take 20-25 minutes.

Is it necessary to peel the Apples?

Its a personal choice. I peel the apples and then use it in the batter, but you can avoid peeling it too.

How to cut Apples for this cake?

You can make your own rules when it comes to this Cake. You can chop it finely, shred it, or even thinly sliced the apples.

    Serving Suggestions

Serve this warm Apple Cinnamon Cake topped with Vanilla Ice Cream for your brunch desserts.

You can also cut a slice and enjoy it with your cup of Beaten Coffee.

    Storage Suggestions

This moist and soft Apple Cinnamon Cake can be stored in a sealed container in a cool place for 2 to 3 days, or in the fridge for up to 5 days. If the climate is hot, it is better to store it in the fridge only.

This cake also freezes well. Freeze this cake for up to 3 months. Once ready let it cool down fully and then wrap it tightly in plastic wrap.

      Hi Neha,

I had bookmarked this recipe eons ago. Never made it though 🙁 Recently got a big batch of heavenly apples and I remembered your recipe… Planning to make it tomorrow… While going through the recipe, it said 34 cups of flour and 14 cups of milk… what exactly is the measurement of your cup and how big (in height) was this cake considering the circumference to be 8 inches. Do let me know

      Thanks in advance
