Chocolate Chips – This is one ingredient that makes this pancake different from the regular Pancakes. Make sure you use good quality chocolate chips to make this Pancake.

All-Purpose Flour – The base of these pancakes are made with all Purpose Flour. These make the best soft and fluffy pancakes.

Other Ingredients – The other ingredients used to make this pancake are – Baking Powder, Baking Soda, Salt, Sugar and melted Butter which helps to make them extra soft and fluffy.

    Frequently Asked Questions

How to check if the pan is perfectly hot to pour the batter?

Switch on the gas and put the nonstick griddle on it. When the pan is hot, sprinkle some water over it. It should dance on the pan.

Now turn the heat to low and pour the batter.

If you are afraid that the batter will stick to the pan, add in a little butter and spread it using a brush and then pour the batter. Make sure you just use a little butter.

How to check if Pancakes are ready to flip?

It is very necessary that the bottom of the pancake is cooked before we flip it. When you see bubbles forming on the uncooked batter on the top, the pancake is ready to be flipped.

Just slide a spatula under the edge of the pancake and flip it. If the spatula sticks to the batter, let it cook for some time more.

    How to keep them warm?

If you have already made the pancakes, and want to keep them warm, covering it with foil is not a good option as they will become limp and lose their deliciously crisp edges.

Instead, you can keep them warm by placing the pancakes on a baking sheet in a 200-degree oven until you’re ready to serve them.

How do you keep chocolate chips from sinking in Pancakes?

One way is to garnish the pancakes with chocolate chips after pouring the batter in the griddle and another way is to coat the chocolate chips with a little flour (this is incase you are adding the chocolate chips in the batter itself).

In both these ways, your chocolate chips won’t sink at the bottom.

How to make these Pancakes gluten free?

If you are looking for a gluten-free pancake, you can substitute the all-purpose flour with gluten-free flour or make the Pancakes using Oatmeal.

Can you make the Pancake batter ahead of time?

Yes, you can! But keep it only for 24 hours, not more than that.

Why my Pancakes are tough and rubbery?

Don’t over mix the ingredients! Over-mixing can lead to gluten development and that is not required.

So just mix the wet ingredients into dry ingredients and make your Pancakes.

    Serving Suggestions

There are many ways to serve these delicious Chocolate Chip Pancakes, Some of them are,

Just add a little maple syrup on top, to keep it simple and old fashioned.

You can even add caramel sauce, nutella, whipped cream, honey or even peanut butter.

If you like to make it more filling, add some of your favourite fruits such as Banana, Strawberries, Blueberries, Kiwi, Mango etc.

You can also sprinkle some granola or chopped Nuts on top for a nice crunch.

Also don’t forget to serve a hot cup of Coffee on the side.
