Who doesn’t love cheese toast? Ask any child what is their favorite snack or what they will want, and most often this is the desired option. While often, all we do is add a cheese slice and sprinkle some boiled corn on the toast, my recipe gives you a delicious versatile option that everyone at home will find hard to resist.
I have made a white sauce using flour, cheese, herbs and vegetables, that not just make the dish unique and irresistible, but also make the meal filling. Dhaniye Aur Amle Ki Chutney can also be added to spice it up.

Corn Cheese Toast
Corn Cheese Toast makes the perfect food for a healthy start to the day. When accompanied with smoothies and juices, it makes for a balanced meal. Here is how to make it.
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 4 tbsp Onion
- 2 tbsp All purpose flour
- 2 cups Milk
- 1 tsp Dried mixed herbs
- Salt To taste
- 1/4 cup Processed cheese Grated
- 1/2 cup Corn kernels
- 1/4 cup Caspicum Chopped
- 6-8 Bread slices
Heat butter in a pan.
Once the butter is melted, add onion and fry for a minute.
Add flour and fry until it is slightly browned.
Simmer the heat to low and add the milk slowly.
Use a ballon whisk to continuously whisk the white sauce until it is thickened.
Add herbs and salt and mix well.
Add cheese and let it melt.
Now add corn kernels and capsicum and cook for a minute.
Remove the pan from heat and let the topping cool a bit.
Cut the bread slices into triangles and top them with the cheesy corn filling.
Pre heat the oven to 180 degrees C.
Bake the bread slices for 10-12 minutes until the bread is lightly browned from the sides.
You can sprinkle some red chilli flakes on top.
