This Crack Chicken Recipe can be cooked under high pressure in an instant pot or on low heat in a crockpot.
Boneless chicken breasts cooked with all things good like cream cheese, sour cream, cheddar cheese, homemade ranch mix and bacon, what’s not to like about it.
This dish is called Crack Chicken because it is addictive and literally crack you up when you eat it. It can be had a sandwich filling or as a dip. Toss some cooked pasta in it and you have a delicious dinner ready in no time.
How to make crack chicken?
If you are using readymade ranch powder, this low carb crack chicken is just few ingredients and literally no effort. All you have to do is dump the ingredients in a slow cooker and let it do the work.
Once the chicken is cooked, shred it using a fork and it’s ready to eat.
I tried to make my ranch powder from scratch and the result was fabulous too. If you are using ready made ranch powder, then add chicken, chicken broth, 3 tbsp ranch powder, cream cheese, sour cream and cheddar cheese in the pot and cook as mentioned in the recipe.

- 4 Boneless Chicken Breast
- 1 cup Chicken Broth
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 1 tsp Onion Flakes
- 1/2 tsp Chilli Flakes
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Ground Black pepper
- 1 tbsp Dried Parsley
- 8 ounces Cream Cheese
- 1/2 cup Cheddar Cheese Grated
- 1/2 cup Crispy Bacon Crumbled
- 1/4 cup Scallion Chopped
Put all the ingredients except bacon and scallion in the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
Once the chicken is cooked, take out the chicken breast on a plate.
Using two forks, shred the chicken.
Transfer the shredded chicken back in the slow cooker and mix everything well
Top with crispy bacon and scallion.
Serve as desired.
