    About This Recipe

Cranberry Orange Bread is a super moist and flavourful bread or rather a cake that is packed with the zesty taste of dried cranberries and orange zest and sweet tangy flavor of orange juice.

It has a sense of freshness, which I love the most about it.

When the tartness of Cranberries meets the sweet tangy flavor of Orange, it definitely creates magic.

I have always been a fan of this combination and keep experimenting with different recipes using this bomb combination.

Therefore, I decided to make this super moist and full of flavor Cranberry Bread which turned out so so good, that I don’t even have words to explain it.

If you also like Cranberry Orange combination just like me, then this easy peasy Bread is a must-try.

    This Cranberry Orange Bread is,

    • Lip Smacking
    • Easy to make
    • Super soft and moist
    • Loaded with orange flavor
    • Perfect for your Tea Parties
    • A great Brunch dessert
    • A great accompaniment to your Coffee

    Ingredients

    Cranberry Orange Bread Ingredients.

All-Purpose Flour – For the base of our cranberry bread recipe, we have used all-purpose flour, because we need a sturdy flour, as we are loading this bread with lots of flavors.

Also, substitute all-purpose flour with whole wheat flour for a healthier version of this bread. But I must tell you that the texture will be slightly different.

Orange Juice and Zest – These add a delicious tangy flavor in the bread, which makes it unique and also irresistible.

If you don’t have Oranges available, then one great substitute is Lemon.

You can use lemon zest and lemon juice instead of orange zest and orange juice. These combinations also taste divine.

Cranberries – You can even use fresh or frozen cranberries instead of dried cranberries to make this delectable bread recipe.

Other Ingredients – Other ingredients used for this bread are baking soda, baking powder, granulated sugar, eggs, butter, and vanilla extract.

Glaze – In the end, we have glazed this bread with a drizzle of orange glaze on top which really brings out the orange flavor of this orange cranberry bread.

Also, chopped nuts such as walnuts, almonds, and pecans are a wonderful addition to compliment the flavors of this bread.

Though I have not added it in this recipe, you can add to give your bread an extra crunch and make cranberry nut bread.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Can I use fresh Cranberries?

You can use fresh Cranberries instead of dried Cranberries. You can even use frozen cranberries, but do not thaw them before adding in the batter.

How to avoid Cranberries sinking in the batter?

If you are using Dried Cranberries, it won’t sink in the batter.

But if you are making it with fresh or frozen cranberries, you can toss the cranberries in some flour to coat them and then add to the batter. This way the cranberries won’t sink.

Should we soak Dried Cranberries before adding to the batter?

No add the dried Cranberries as it is. There is no need of soaking them.

    How to make it Eggless?

You can add in Flax Seed Eggs in place of eggs, but the texture of the bread will be different.

You can also add in yogurt instead of eggs. Unsweetened Apple Sauce is also an option. But if you are using the sweetened one, reduce the amount of sugar from the recipe.

    Serving Suggestions

You can serve it for your Tea Parties or just with your evening Tea or Coffee. I like to enjoy mine with frothy hot Coffee.

You can also serve them as a side dish for your weekend breakfast or as a dessert for your Brunch or Weekend Meals.

They also make a great gift, during Christmas or other festivals.

    Storage Suggestions

This Cranberry Orange Bread will last you for about 3 to 5 days when stored in a sealed glass container or a cake dome at room temperature.

The best part about this bread, it freezes beautifully. Once you are done serving it for the festive season, and still have leftovers, freeze it.

It tastes great even after freezing for about 3 months in a freezer bag or an airtight container.

Just thaw this Cranberry Bread completely before serving.

So get ready with all the ingredients required for this bread and make some loaves of goodness for your delicious holiday breakfast or to gift during the holiday season.
