Tips
To make this creamy, sweet and tangy dip, you need good quality cream cheese, Greek yogurt, orange zest, orange juice, powdered sugar, low fat cream and vanilla extract.
First, take your cream cheese out of refrigerator and let it rest on the counter for at least 30 mins to one hour.
If you are running short of time, you can use one of the methods that I have explained below to soften the cream cheese.
But make sure the cream cheese is at room temperature before you start making the dip, as it will make lumps otherwise.
Once the cream cheese is at room temperature, transfer it to a bowl and whisk until it is slight and fluffy.
You can also use your electric mixer and beat it until smooth and creamy on low speed.
Now add low fat cream and mix. Once mixed, slowly add the yogurt and whisk until combined completely.
Add powdered sugar, vanilla extract, orange zest and orange juice. Mix well and refrigerate the dip for a few hours.
Serve chilled with your choice of fruits.
How to soften Cream Cheese?
This is one of the most important steps in making this dip.
Make sure the cream cheese at room temperature before making the dip and is not taken straight out of the refrigerator.
If you take it out of the refrigerator at the time if making the dip, it will be lumpy even after you beat it enough.
There are various methods to soften the cream cheese.
The best way is to soften it simply keeping it on counter for 30 min to an hour, maximum.
You can even soften it by keeping the wrapped cream cheese in hot water kept in a bowl for 5-10 min.
Place the pack in a ziplock bag and seal tightly. Then place the bag in a bowl filled with hot water.
If you don’t have time at hand, then you can soften it in the microwave as well.
You should be very careful while softening it in the microwave, as it can melt or overcook the cream cheese.
Use “soften” setting in your microwave or cute small cubes, microwave at high for 10-15 seconds and stir.
You can heat it for 10 more seconds to achieve the desired consistency.

Marshmallow Fluff – You can make this dip using marshmallow fluff instead of Greek yogurt. It makes for a delicious substitute.
Cool Whip – You can add some cool whip to this dip to make it more creamier.
Cinnamon – Add a little powdered cinnamon to feel Christmas in your mouth and it uplifts the flavor a notch.
Lemon Juice – If you don’t have oranges available, you can use lemon juice and lemon zest. It works well and gives the perfect citrusy flavor to the dip.
Without Yogurt– You can skip the yogurt if you want. Just use a little more cream cheese to get more quantity of the dip.
