    Dalgona Whiskey or Dalgona Peg is the new style of serving whiskey where it floats over water instead of getting mixed with it. Here is how to make it.

    So recently, we saw a huge trend in how to make DALGONA COFFEE.

    It started from TikTok and suddenly became viral on all possible social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and others. 

    What is Dalgona Coffee? Well, if you still don’t know; this coffee belongs to South Korea. I recently made it using this recipe and everyone just loved it.

    In this coffee, sugar and coffee are whipped together until fluffy and then poured on the top of cold milk and ice cubes in the glass. 

    It looks beautiful as the whipped coffee float on the top and the entire coffee is divided into two colors.

    Just when more people were trying on this fancy coffee, a new trend has taken its place, it is DALGONA WHISKEY or DALGONA PEG.

    All the whiskey lovers, this is definitely for you!

    Whiskey floating on the top of the water, it sure looks similar to Dalgona Coffee.

    So, everyone who loves their alcohol should try this new trick of serving their whiskey.

    With its growing popularity, whiskey has definitely taken its place over the coffee!

    There are two tricks to make this Dalgona Peg, one using muslin or soft cloth and another one with the spoon.

    Well, I must say it is a great idea to serve whiskey for your parties. 

    I am definitely trying it, you should try it too!

    Take that glass of whiskey, switch on your favorite movie and chill. 

    What is Dalgona Whiskey?

    Also known as Dalgona Peg, it is nothing but water topped with whiskey.

    A trick is used to pour the whiskey on top of water, so that instead of getting mixed with water it just floats on the top, Just like whipped coffee floats on the top of milk in Dalgona Coffee. 

    How to make it?

    To make it, fill ¾th of your glass with water.

    Now, cover the mouth of glass with a muslin or soft cloth, such a way that the middle of the cloth touches water a bit. 

    Pour in whiskey slowly from the top.

    Once done, remove the cloth slowly and you will see that your whiskey will float on the top of the glass.

    I prefer this method, as this gives better results!

    Another way to make it is by using a spoon.

    Fill the ¾ of your glass with water.

    Put a spoon just where the water ends and slowly pour the whiskey on the spoon flowing in the glass.

    This way also the whiskey will float on the top. 

    Step By Step Recipe

    Take an empty glass. Fill ¾th of the glass with water and add ice cubes in it.

    Cover the mouth of the glass with a clean cloth. Make sure to fold the cloth in 4 layers. Press the cloth down a bit from the middle so that it touches the water. 

    Whiskey poured in the cloth indentation.

    Slowly, pour the whiskey in the indentations and let it slowly seep in the water. Stir it before drinking 🙂

    Ingredients 

    • ¾ cup Water
    • 60 ml Whiskey (of your choice)
    • Ice Cubes
    Prevent your screen from going dark

    Instructions

    • Take an empty glass.
    • Fill ¾th of the glass with water and add ice cubes in it.
    • Cover the mouth of the glass with a clean cloth. Make sure to fold the cloth in 4 layers.
    • Press the cloth down a bit from the middle so that it touches the water. 
    • Slowly, pour the whisky in the indentations and let it slowly seep in the water. Your Dalgona Whiskey is ready. 
    • Stir it before drinking.
