About This Recipe
We all have tried so many dips that are served with our snacks and starters, but have you ever tried a dessert dip at home? If no, then your search ends here. Try this Dunkaroo dip (cake batter dip), which will definitely remind you of your childhood if you are a 90’s kid.
Dunkaroo dip tastes very similar to Dankaroos, the snack-sized package containing cookies and icing. The cookies had to be lowered into the icing before eating.
Prepared with just 4 ingredients, you will be amazed to know that one of the main ingredients used in this dip is vanilla cake mix. I am sure you will be sold at the mere name of cake mix. I was too! Also, this one just takes under 15 minutes to get ready.
Most people make this cake mix dip in under 5 minutes by just mixing the ingredients, but I go a step extra. To make sure the cake flour is safe to eat, I prefer toasting it in the oven for 10 minutes rather than eating it raw. So this extra step makes for the extra 10 minutes but it’s highly recommended.
So get your hands on the ingredients asap and make this dessert dip. Do not forget to top it with some sprinkles. Because everything becomes fun when it is colorful, right?

How to make Dunkaroo Dip?
Start by heat-treating the cake flour. This step is very important to make sure that the mixture is free of pathogens.
Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F. Spread the cake flour on a baking tray with tall sides and spread it evenly.
Keep the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes, stirring the flour after every 2 minutes. The temperature of the flour must reach 160-165 degrees F.

Remove the tray from the oven and let the flour cool down completely.

Note – You can also heat treat the flour in a microwave. Heat on high in increments of 30 seconds until the flour temperature reaches 160-165 degrees F.
Once the flour is cooled completely, add it to a large mixing bowl along with 1 cup Greek yogurt, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and 2 cups cool whip. Mix well using a silicone spatula. You can also use your electric mixer to mix the ingredients.

Transfer the dip to the serving bowl. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Garnish with colorful sprinkles and serve with animal crackers, graham crackers, etc.
