Funfetti – Also known as sprinkles is one colorful ingredient that makes these cookies different and unique.

Make sure that you use good quality funfetti, so that they don’t bleed while you use them in the dough.

Sugar – We have added both granulated and powdered sugar, as the addition of powdered sugar makes the cookie soft and chewy.

Other Ingredients – Other ingredients are the basic ones that are required to make a cookie. They are – All-Purpose Flour, Baking Soda, Salt, Unsalted Butter, Egg and Vanilla Extract.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Can you freeze these cookies?

If you have extra cookie dough which is not coming to use, you can freeze it for later use.

Just make balls out of cookie dough after you refrigerate it for 3 to 4 hours, flatten them and then freeze it using the parchment to separate the layers.

Once frozen, take them out and add them to a freezer bag or a ziplock bag. Remove as much as air from the bag as possible and freeze them for up to 3 to 4 months.

When you are baking the frozen cookies, thaw them in the refrigerator overnight and bring them to room temperature.

Once done, bake it for extra few minutes until they reach the stage when their edges are the slightly golden brown.

    How to make these eggless?

There are many ingredients that you can substitute and use instead of eggs to make Eggless version of these Funfetti cookies:

You can add cream cheese and corn starch to get that soft and chewy texture instead.
Try to add curd as a substitute for eggs.
You can add the combination of corn starch and apple sauce too.
Milk is another option that you can use to make the cookies.
If you don’t mind the flax seeds color in your cookies, then you can add fax seeds paste too. (*mix 1 tablespoon ground flax + 3 tablespoon water to get the egg texture)

How to make these Cookies Gluten Free?

If looking for Gluten Free cookies, then you can add Gluten-Free Flour instead of All-Purpose Flour.

Can I make these cookies in advance?

Yes, you can make the dough, scoop them into balls, cover and then refrigerate them for up to 5 days, before baking.

Bake them fresh, whenever you are planning on serving them to your family or guests.

    Can I double this recipe?

If you are making it for a large crowd, you can double or even triple this recipe.

Can I make these Cookies with Whole Wheat Flour?

I would recommend you to make these Cookies using All Purpose Flour only, as Whole Wheat Flour will change the texture and taste of the same.

    Storage Suggestions

Store these delicious cookies in an airtight container up to 5 days at room temperature.

You can even freeze these cookies. Once the cookies have cooled completely, freeze them on a cookie tray for about 30 minutes.

Next, toss the cookies into a ziplock bag and store in the freezer for about 3 months. Freezing for that first 30 minutes is important, as like this the cookies won’t stick to each other while freezing!
