A delicious Dip can change the game. Don’t you agree with me? And therefore I keep experimenting with varieties of dips to serve with my starters and the latest one that I tried my hands on is this Instant Pot Buffalo Chicken Dip.
This Buffalo Chicken Dip is creamy, spicy, cheesy, and loaded with chunks of chicken, which makes it even more delicious. And making it in an instant pot has made the preparation of this dish even easier and fuss-free.
The best part if you are making in an instant pot, you do not have to plan ahead of time. You can make it whenever you decide to serve it with your favorite starters.
This one is super creamy and cheesy due to the combination of sour cream, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and mozzarella cheese used in one dip. So when you take a bite of your starter with this dip, you will surely taste the magic in your mouth.
This dip has become my favorite to make during game nights or movie nights along with some munchies such as Nachos, Crackers, or even fresh homemade bread.

Chicken – This dip is different and unique because it has shredded chicken in it. Chicken is cooked and shredded and then added in this creamy and cheesy dip.
Cheese – This dip becomes extra cheesy because it has three types of cheese – Cream Cheese, Cheddar Cheese, and Mozzarella Cheese. All of them combined adds a pungent salty taste along with a soft and gooey texture.
Cheddar Cheese is also used on the top in the end before baking, to give it a nice and thick cheesy dip.
When it comes to cheese you can also add in blue cheese in this dressing.
Sour Cream – It makes the dip a tart flavour and also makes it nice and thick.
Buffalo Wing Sauce – This one adds a delicious flavor in this cheesy dip. Hot, spicy, and tangy, this sauce just adds magic to this dressing.
You can make this sauce at home or even use the store bought one.
Ranch Dressing – This sweet, creamy, and tangy dressing further adds to the taste of this dip.
Unsalted Butter – Butter adds a nice flavor along with cheesy and creamy texture. This adds richness to the dip.
Garlic – This is my favorite ingredient of all time. It instantly enhances the taste of any dish. I have used fresh minced garlic in this dip, but if you do not have fresh garlic you can use garlic powder too.
Green Onions – Finally, add some freshness and color on the top of this dip with chopped green onions.
Step By Step Recipe
Add unsalted butter, garlic, shredded chicken, buffalo wing sauce, cream cheese, and sour cream in an Instant Pot.
Close the lid and set the valve to sealing position.
Press PRESSURE COOK and set the timer to 6 minutes.
Once the timer goes off, let the pressure release for 10 minutes. Release the remaining pressure manually and open the lid.
Add cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese and ranch dressing and mix well.
Transfer the dip in an oven safe serving bowl.
Top with some more cheese and broil for 5 minutes until the cheese melts.
Garnish with green onions and serve hot.

We will cook the chicken in an instant pot itself. Place the Chicken Breast in the instant pot and pour a little water over the chicken. Close the lid and set the valve to Seal.

You can also cook the chicken in a pot over the stove top.
Yes, you can definitely use frozen chicken for this dip. Thaw it overnight in the refrigerator and then cook and shred the chicken to use in the dip.
If you forget to thaw the chicken, then you can use it too, just the cooking time will be more in this case.
Yes, you can use shredded Canned Chicken for this dip. If using canned chicken, you do not have to cook it, you can use it directly.
