Saturday had started on a fantastic note with a hearty breakfast with the family, a few games of scrabble and just loitering around the house giggling on the silly jokes created on the spot by Kiddo. Amongst all this, I got a chance to check my mail box, only to find an E mail from Blogadda, reminding me of a surprise which they had mentioned of a few days back. With much eagerness, I went through the mail and was pleasantly delighted to know that they had chosen me among the top Indian bloggers who were going to Goa to experience the newly launched MPV Renault Lodgy. I was a part of similar campaign with Blogadda last year and knew how much effort the team put to make the event a memorable one for you. So without any doubts, I replied to the email confirming my presence.
I was ready for the adventure of going to Goa all by myself, driving the car and enjoy the hospitality of Blogadda. Since it was a Friday and hubby had to leave for office, I decided to book a cab to drop me to the airport and got busy packing for the 3 day trip to Goa. The adventure could not wait for long and my taxi service decided to cancel my booking at the last moment. Panic stuck and I was almost in tears at the thought of missing the whole experience. Fortunately got another cab and I was on my way to the Airport. It was a lovely day with dark clouds hovering above and the lush green scenery throughout the Airport highway was as usual a great companion for the long drive. The other bloggers from Bangalore who were also a part of the event were already at the Airport and we all checked in together in the hope of getting seats together and start the fun ASAP.
A quick intro of ourselves, a few jokes cracked on god knows what, a few selfies taken and it seemed as we all were best of friends forever however most of us were meeting for the first time. Before heading to the gate for departure, I managed to take a bite quickly at the Airport lounge and with a slightly settled tummy, I was on my way to Goa.
The flight was pretty turbulent but thankfully before I could start to panic, we landed in Goa. We were taken to The Leela, in South Goa in a comfortable bus and were welcomed in style with a tilak on forehead and a marigold garland followed by a light evening tea. The Rain soaked, Lush green property was the perfect spot for any shutter crazy person and I was in a Photo op heaven. Could not resist myself from clicking a few clicks on the way to the room which keeping up to the Leela brand was grand, fitted with all the modern amenities and with a lovely balcony view into the lotus pond.
After freshening up, we all gathered in the Hotel Lounge for a small briefing about the #LiveLodgyCal event, specification of the Renault Lodgy and agenda for the next day. All this happened in a very entertaining way with our Emcee for the evening Archana Pania making sure the event did not get into the boring route. I was happy to be a part of #TheLightRiders team and will not forget the fun we had while doing the activities which were part of the #LiveLodgycal event. After dinner, we all retired to our rooms only to start another chapter. It was fun to connect with other bloggers whom I have known only through Socail Media.
My room mate Manjulika is a fun person and a very good soul and I am glad we got to connect, all thnx to the event. Although we were meeting for the first time, we became very close by the end of the event and I never for a second felt as if I am meeting her for the first time. It was as if we were best friends forever and chit chatted about almost everything on the planet in those 2 days.
It was raining cats and dogs the next morning and I wondered how is the event going to follow if it rains like this. But thankfully, the rain gods took mercy on us and the sky was clear by the time we were done with filling our tummies and gearing up for the day. The shining new Renault Lodgy cars awaited in a row. All the teams were given a brief of the route to take, rules and guidelines and were off on a fun filled drive with loads of exciting activities waiting for us.
The event was super fun and I was almost transformed to my Child self actively participating in the interesting activities planned by Blogadda team and making sure our teams looses not a single point and comes out as a winner. We stopped the car to take pictures of a mango tree, a guy in red shorts, a lady with a pink umbrella and many more fun stuff . The #LiveLodgycal drive organised by Blogadda will always have a special memory for me and to keep those memories fresh and go back to them whenever I want to, I have clicked a lot of pictures during these 3 days. Check out the clicks and take a virtual tour of the event with me. Cheers !!!!
