Scotland is definitely a lifetime experience, it surely was for me. On a recent trip through the Glen’s of Scotland in May of this year, I found many finest kept secrets of Scotland. Well you might hear everyone tell you the stories, but you have to see it to believe it.
Firstly every little and big lake in Scotland had its own story to tell, with their different colours, joining so many valley’s and sea’s together, their sights is an experience of lifetime.
Second the amazing castles in the area, each bringing to forefront the brutal assaults, the battles and wars fought at the time. Their traditional display’s of war ensembles, maps, kitchen utensils, each was an experience to have.
Next the finest brews of Scotland, with regions like the Highlands, the Lowlands, the Speyside and the Islay each bringing its own unique taste, aroma, character and finish to the scotch they produce. For the starts I was able to understand how the scotch is produced through a tour in the city of Edinburgh. Then driving through these regions, I could actually see how much of an effort goes in producing a fine scotch. I now have a new found love for finest Scotch’s.
One of the popular blended Scotch in India is 100 Pipers, a superior blend of handpicked malt and grain whiskies is the sweet vanilla aroma of the Brava malt whisky, sourced from the remote Livet Valley in the Speyside region of Scotland. Nurtured for 12 long years in the finest oak casks. A library of 50 whiskies was tried in as many as 517 different blends before finally deciding on 30 of the finest ones to be a part of 100 Pipers. A process which took more than 20 years to complete. According to Scottish legend, when you sip a good scotch, you can hear a piper play, but for the master blender of 100 Pipers, he could actually hear 100 Pipers play in his glen.
100 Pipers has a beautiful aroma with a whiff of honey, vanilla notes and a touch of peat. The taste is sweet mellow notes, soft smoky strokes and a well balanced hint of fruitiness with a creamy texture with a smooth finish. This deserves to be remembered for good, take time to smell and enjoy the drink responsibly.
