    About This Recipe

Who doesn’t love a Pizza? Crispy crust loaded with tomato sauce, melted cheese, and veggies, it is a favorite among kids as well as adults. But what if I tell you just like our Pasta, we can give Pizza also an Indian twist.

Yes, today’s recipe is Naan Pizza, where we will make a Pizza using one of the most popular Indian Bread Naan. Load the Naan with Cheese, Tomato Sauce, Basil Leaves, and our Margherita Naan Pizza is ready in minutes.

You can also add vegetables or meat of your choice just like your regular Pizza. At home, we like it simple and thus I make Naan Pizza with just sauce, cheese, and some fresh Italian Basil Leaves.

This is also a great way to use up the leftover Naan or Naan Dough, and you want to make something fusion and unique out of it.

Believe me, it tastes heavenly. The thin and soft crust of Naan works beautifully when made into a Pizza.

So next time if you are looking to make a fusion dish for your house parties or weekend meals, you can give this Naan Pizza a try.

    This homemade Naan Pizza is,

    • A Pizza with an Indian twist
    • Super delicious
    • Easy & Quick
    • Great way to use leftover Naan
    • Super crispy
    • A favorite at home

    Ingredients

    Naan Pizza Ingredients.

Naan – Prepare Naan at home! It is a very easy process, but if you are in a hurry you also get ready-made naan in the stores nowadays.

You can also prepare the dough a day before and make the Naan on the day you are planning to make the Pizza. If you have leftover Naan, this is a great way to use them up.

Tomato Sauce – Use the Pizza/Pasta tomato sauce to spread on the top of the Naan. Again, I like to make Tomato sauce at home and store it. But you can also go for the store-bought ones.

Here is my recipe for how to make tomato sauce at home – Homemade Pizza Sauce

Cheese – I use a combination Of Mozzarella and Cheddar Cheese, but you can use any cheese you like. I have mentioned below the variety of Cheese you can use for your Pizza.

Basil Leaves – I love the flavor, Basil solely adds to the Pizza. The freshness and taste it adds to a simple Pizza are unbeatable.

But if you are not able to get fresh basil leaves, you can sprinkle dried basil leaves once you bake the Pizza.

    Step By Step Recipe

Preheat the oven to 220 Degrees F. Keep the naan on a baking tray and bake for 3-4 minutes.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    How to make Naan?

To prepare Naan at home, you will need only a few ingredients such as All-Purpose Flour, Yeast, Salt, Sugar, Yogurt, Milk, Oil, and Butter. Here is my detailed recipe on how to make Naan at home – Naan Recipe.

You can also make Garlic Naan for the base. Here is my detailed recipe on how to make the same at home – Garlic Naan Recipe.

    Topping Ideas

One of my most favorite toppings is simple Tomato Sauce, Cheese, and Basil Leaves, which is also known as Margherita Pizza and also the one I am using in this recipe. But you can try some mentioned below.

Sauces – You can make variations of Pizza and use the different sauce as the base. Some of my favorite Sauces are – Tomato Sauce, Basil Pesto, Sun-Dried Tomato Pesto, Ranch Sauce, Bechamel Sauce, Marinara Sauce, Buffalo Sauce, BBQ Sauce, Hummus, Creamy Garlic Parmesan Sauce, White Garlic Sauce, etc.
I personally like a combination of Marinara sauce and Bechamel sauce over my pizza.

Veggies – Besides, you can load your Pizza with some vegetable goodness such as Onions, Caramelised Onions, Mushrooms, Bell Peppers, Chillies, Corn, Baby Corn, Zucchini, Basil, Avocado, Scallions, Black and Green Olives, Spinach, Grilled Pineapple, etc.

I sometimes even add sun-dried tomatoes, it delivers a unique and delicious flavor in the Pizza.

Protein – You can also add in Proteins such as Tofu, Paneer, and Boiled White Chickpeas. You can add in Pepperoni, Sausages, Grilled Chicken and Beef, Bacon, etc.

Cheese – If you are a cheese fan, add in extra cheese and make a super Double Cheesy Pizza. The best Cheese you can use to make your Pizza cheesy is – Mozzarella Cheese. You can also add in some grated Parmesan Cheese or Cheddar Cheese on top. Even Swiss Cheese, Goat Cheese, and Ricotta Cheese taste great when used in a Pizza.
