    Ingredients

    Nutella brownies Ingredients.

Instant Coffee Powder – It doesn’t add a coffee taste but elevates the taste of chocolate.

Flour – For a healthier version, use whole wheat flour. Gluten-Free flour will work well in this recipe too.

Sugar – You can adjust the amount of sugar in the brownies as per your taste. You can even substitute it with brown sugar, coconut sugar, or jaggery but the texture and taste will differ a bit.

    How to make Nutella Brownies?

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C). Line an 8×8 inch baking tray with parchment paper. Let the paper overhang from all the sides. It will be easier to lift the brownies using the overhang. Mix all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, and instant coffee powder in a bowl.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Can you put Nutella in brownie mix?

Although I am a big supporter of baking from scratch, sometimes when we are pressed with time, a mix comes in handy. You can add Nutella to the mix and bake it as instructed.

How long do you bake the brownies for?

These brownies need a few more minutes of extra baking than the regular brownies.

Be careful with the timing. If you over bake the brownies, they will become dry. So keep a check after 20 minutes.

How do you make Nutella Icing?

Although this brownie tastes good as it is, you can definitely cover it with a Nutella Icing.

To make it, whisk butter and Nutella until nicely mixed. Add heavy whipping cream, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar and whisk until fluffy.

The minute they got baked, we duo indulge ourselves with these Nutella gushing delight and oh, boy, they tasted so scrumptious that we actually got a #FoodComa!

If you are a Nutella fan then do try making these delicious brownies and even otherwise – because who doesn’t like Nutella and Brownies, folks?

How to make these in a Microwave?

To make these Easy Gooey Brownies in the microwave, you can follow the same process except pour the batter in a buttered microwave-safe dish.

Microwave on high for 2 minutes. Check if they are done. Otherwise microwave for another minute.

How to make it in a mug?

To make these brownies in a mug, follow the same process. Butter oven-safe mugs and pour the batter in them until they are ¾th full. Bake for  15-20 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.

How to know if the Brownies turned out perfect?

The perfect brownies will have a crackly texture on the top and will be fudgy from inside. Also, do not over bake them, otherwise, they might turn out dry.

    Pro Tips By Neha

You can microwave the Nutella until warm and runny so that it becomes easy to mix it in the batter.

Add in an extra yolk of egg to make the Brownies extra fudgy and chewy.

Salt is optional, but I like how it balances out the extra sweetness in the Nutella Brownies.

If you want to cool down the Brownies fast, place them in the freezer for about an hour, then slice and serve.

Do not add more flour, otherwise, the brownies will turn out dry and will not be dense and fudgy.

Add chocolate chips or chopped nuts in the batter for a nice crunch.

Reduce the sugar if you like your brownies less sweet.

    Serving Suggestions

Serve these as a dessert with vanilla or chocolate ice cream on top for your dessert after your Continental meals.

You can also serve your guests with a hot cup of Beaten Coffee. This Brownie and the frothy Coffee combination is a bomb.

    Storage Suggestions

You can store Nutella Brownies tightly covered in a container for about 3 to 5 days in the refrigerator or at room temperature.

You can freeze them as well. You can place them in ziplock freezer bags and freeze for about 3 months.

Thaw the brownies overnight in the refrigerator before serving or reheating.

How wonderful! Kids today are lucky – nutella was little known in the US when I was a kid, and certainly not a staple. Love this recipe!
