Strawberry Raita is one delicious raita with a sweet and tangy taste, combines the freshness and sweetness of strawberries with sourness of yoghurt. Here is how to make it.
Raitas are cooling and are considered one of the simplest to make as an accompaniment to the meal. No meal is complete without them, and this yoghurt preparation helps cut the spice in curries and biryanis, particularly Egg Dum Biryani and Mutton Dum Biryani.
Although there are many different kinds of raita preparations with vegetables, such as Boondi Raita, Mooli Raita and Kaddu Ka Raita or Pumkin Raita, and I have previously shared them here, it isn’t often that fruits are used.
Strawberry Raita is one delicious raita with a sweet and tangy taste, that isn’t often prepared. The freshness and sweetness of strawberries is aptly showcased in this raita. Although strawberry flavored yoghurt is readily available, there is nothing that can beat this raita when prepared at home. Not only is it cooling, but also very healthy and nutritious.
Strawberry is what I would consider the most versatile of fruits. Whether it is used in making shakes such as Strawberry Mango Shake or Banana Strawberry and Orange Shake, in Strawberry and Almond Salads, to make a fresh Strawberry Tea or the quintessential Strawberry and Vanilla Jam, this fruit adds its own unique taste to any sweet dish.
They are also very high on anti-oxidants that remove free radicals, keep the skin blemish free, tissues of the body hydrated and help maintain youthfulness. Here is how to make Strawberry Raita.
