    What is Bread Pizza?

Crispy Toast topped with vegetables and loaded with gooey melted cheese, Bread Pizza is all you want for a delicious snack or even for tasty breakfast.

At home, we always prefer to order a pizza or make it at home, for our movie nights. But making a pizza at home is a lengthy process and also takes a lot of effort and ordering every weekend from out is also a not good idea.

So the days when we want something quick, instant, and easy, but satisfies the Pizza craving, this Bread Pizza comes to the rescue. This recipe is a super hit, especially among the kids.

If you prefer thin crust Pizzas, then this pizza is perfect for you. The bread in it gives it a nice thin crust, which turns out very crispy when baked.

Just take a bread, top it with pizza sauce, add your favorite vegetables and load with lots of cheese, toast it in the oven and your Bread Pizza is ready.

It is a great snack to enjoy with a cup of chai in the evening; it’s also a great option if you’re looking to whip up a quick meal. Make if for evening snack, brunch, birthday partoes or get togtethers, it’s always going to be a hit.

You can even make this Pizza with your homemade bread. The kiddos are going to love it and it’s great to pack in their tiffin as well.

You can pop it in the oven and while it is baking, just churn up a glass of Litchi Lemonade to go along with it.

    Ingredients

Bread – Well, by this time you know that you need bread for the base of this recipe. You can use any bread of your choice, white milk sandwich bread, brown bread, whole wheat flour bread, or multigrain bread.

You can even use homemade simple bread or flavoured bread for this Pizza.

Pizza Sauce – Make Pizza Sauce at home or to save on time, use a store-bought one. You can play with sauce flavors in this recipe. Use a classic Tomato Pizza Sauce, White Sauce, Cheese Sauce, or Pesto. Try to mix the sauces for a completely new flavor. White Sauce and Tomato-Based Sauce is my fav combo.

Toppings – This pizza is also loaded with vegetables, adding some nutrition to it. Use any vegetables like Mushroom, Corn, Bell Peppers, Onion, Tomato, etc. Olives, Pineapple, Paneer are my other fav toppings.

you can also use other vegetables such as Spinach, Cherry Tomatoes, Jalapeno, Red Bell Pepper, Carrot, Yellow Bell Pepper, Zucchini, Broccoli, Mushrooms, Potatoes, etc.

You can even add Tofu, for an added extra protein. If you want to make it fancier, top the pizza with Meatballs, Pepperoni, etc.

The topping ingredients should be cooked beforehand or add the ingredients that can be eaten raw.

Cheese – Lastly, grate the cheese on top, bake it and your pizza is ready to serve.

I have used pizza cheese blend is easily available in India You can use processed cheese, feta cheese, shredded mozzarella or a mix of mozzarella, four cheese, and cheddar as well.

Seasoning – Season the pizza with herbs like basil, oregano or parsley. Red Chilli Flakes also tasted great.

    Frequently Asked Questions

How to make Pizza Sauce at home?

You can follow my recipe for Homemade Pizza Sauce and make it at home for your Pizza recipes. If you don’t have time, you can even use the store-bought pizza sauce at home.

Another easy Pizza sauce that you can make is by mixing Tomato Ketchup and Red Chilli Sauce.

How to make it without oven on Tawa?

There is a trick to make this recipe on tawa without an oven too. Just heat a tawa (griddle) and keep the pizza on it. Cover with a lid and cook on low heat until cheese melts and the base is crisp. Use a heavy bottom pan and low heat to make the pizza for a golden crunchy crust.

You can also make this pizza in the microwave in convection mode.

Can we make it ahead of time?

I will not suggest you make it ahead of time. The bread will become soggy with time if kept for longer.

You can chop the vegetables and store in the fridge in an airtight container, Similarly, you can make the pizza sauce and store it too.

So that when you want to prepare it, just assemble the bread pizza and bake it.

How to make a Bread Pizza Sandwich?

Just top the bread with Pizza Sauce, your preferred veggies, cheese, and then top it with another bread. Now instead of baking it in the oven, toast it in a sandwich maker or on the tawa until crisp and golden brown from top.

    Serving Suggestions

These are best served hot, while it’s crispy and delicious.

You can also cut these vegetable pizzas in half and serve it as finger food at a kid’s party or get together at home.

You can even serve it as a tea time snack with a hot cup of Adrak Wali Chai, Filter Coffee, or even a frothy Dalgona Coffee.

    Bread Pizza Variations:

Egg Cheese Pizza – Just mix the egg mixture with cheese, apply on the bread, add in some veggies, and bake it.

Chicken – Instead of veggies, you can even add grilled, smoked, or any flavored chicken on the pizza. Top it with lots of cheese and bake it.

Spinach Pizza – Once you apply the pizza sauce, add in some sautéed spinach along with the vegetables.

Pesto Pizza – Instead of Pizza sauce, you can use Basil Pesto or Parsley Pesto on the Bread to make this pesto version.

Margarita – Just tomato pizza sauce, cheese and herbs, go the basic way.
