  • 400 g Cauliflower Cut into small florets

For the Batter

  • 1 and 1/2 cup All purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 200 ml Ice cold beer
  • Oil for frying


  1. Wash the cauliflower.
  2. Heat water in a large pot and once the water comes to a boil, add the florets in the boiling water for a few seconds.
  3. Drain and run the florets under cold water.
  4. Drain and keep aside.
  5. Mix all purpose flour, baking powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garlic powder, black pepper powder and salt in a bowl.
  6. Add beer to make a thick batter.
  7. Keep the batter aside for 20 minutes.
  8. Heat oil in a pan.
  9. Dip the florets in the batter and deep fry on medium heat until golden brown.
  10. Serve hot with coriander chutney.
