Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1/2 cup Onion Chopped
  • 3-4 cloves Garlic
  • 2 Bay leaf
  • 1-2 Fresh Red chilli Chopped
  • 2 cups Mango puree
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 tbsp Cornflour
  • 1 tsp Red chilli flakes

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan.
  2. Add onion and garlic and fry for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add bay leaf, red chill and mango puree and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add sugar, salt and lemon juice and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
  5. Remove the pan from heat and cool the mixture.
  6. Discard the bay leaf.
  7. Blend the sauce in a blender to make a smooth sauce.
  8. Mix cornflour in water.
  9. Add the sauce in a pan.
  10. Add the cornflour water and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  11. Add chilli flakes and cook for another minute
  12. Transfer the sauce in a glass jar and store in refrigerator for up to a month.
