Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1/2 cup Onion Chopped
  • 2 Green chilli Slit into half
  • 1/2 cup Tomato Pureed
  • 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 2 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala powder
  • 1/2 cup Peas
  • 1 cup Potato Peeled and cut into wedges or cubes
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp Fresh coriander Chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pressure cooker.

  2. Once the oil is hot, add cumin seeds and let them crackle for a few seconds.
  3. Add onion and fry until they are slightly browned.
  4. Add ginger garlic paste and cook until the onions are nicely browned.
  5. Now add green chilli and tomato and cook for 2-3 minutes.

  6. Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and garam masala powder and cook until oil starts to separate from sides.
  7. Add little water.
  8. Now add peas, potato and salt along with a cup of water.

  9. Pressure cook until done.
  10. Remove the cooker from heat and let the pressure release.
  11. Add coriander and mix well.
  12. Serve hot with parathas.

Recipe Notes

You can make this curry in a pan if you don't have pressure cooker. just increase the cooking time and add more water if required.
