Thandai Rabdi is a thicker version of Thandai which is absolutely delicious.I love making this variation of Thandai as it can be served as a dessert. Here is how to make it.



  • 1 and 1/2 litres Full cream milk
  • 8 tbsp Thandai Masala powder
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Rose water
  • Almond and pistachio slivers for garnishing


  1. Heat milk in heavy bottom and bring it to a boil.
  2. Add thandai masala powder and mix well.
  3. Simmer the heat and let the milk cook until it is reduced to almost 3/4 th and is thick and grainy.
  4. Keep stirring in between.
  5. Add sugar and rose water and cook for another minute.
  6. Transfer the Rabdi in small terracotta pots.
  7. Garnish with almond and pistachio slivers.
  8. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours before serving.
