Thandai Shahi Tukra is a fusion dish which nicely combines the desi flavours and yet adds a new touch to Thandai. Do try this recipe this festive season. Here is how to make it.



  • 6 White Bread Slices
  • Ghee for frying
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Water
  • 2-3 pods Cardamom crushed
  • 1/2 cup Thandai Rabri
  • Slivers of almonds and pistachios to garnish


  1. Remove the corners of bread slices and cut the slices diagonally.
  2. Heat ghee and when it is hot, deep fry the bread slices till golden brown.
  3. Remove on a tissue lined plate.
  4. Heat water in a pan and add ½ cup of sugar to it.
  5. Add cardamom to the water.
  6. Let it boil for 6-8 minutes.
  7. Dip fried bread slices in sugar syrup for 5 seconds. ( or more if you like softer version )
  8. Keep them on the serving plate.
  9. Top with Thandai Rabdi.
  10. Garnish with almonds and pistachios slivers.
  11. Serve immediately.
