Ingredients

  • 3-4 Potato medium sized
  • 3 tbsp White sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Hing
  • 2-3 Dry red chilli
  • 2 Green chilli slit into half
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • Fresh coriander for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Peel and cut the potatoes into small cubes.
  2. Soak them in water till used.
  3. Dry roast sesame seeds and pulse them in a blender just once or twice to make a coarse powder.
  4. Heat oil in a pan.
  5. When the oil is hot, add cumin seeds, hing, dry red chilies and green chilies.
  6. Fry for 10 seconds.
  7. Add the cubed potatoes and sesame powder.
  8. Add coriander powder and salt.

  9. Fry for a minute.
  10. Sprinkle little water and cover the pan.

  11. Cook till potatoes are done.
  12. Add lemon juice and cook for a minute.

  13. Sprinkle chopped coriander on top.
  14. Serve hot with dal and rice or poori.
