Achari Gobhi is a lipsmacking variation of the regular gobhi sabzi that you make at home. Serve with piping hot rotis and rice, you would love it!

This Achari Gobhi  is a delicious change from the regular Gobhi ki Sabzi  recipe. You need just the most basic ingredients that are used to make pickles or pickled spices to make this dish. 



  • 3 cups Gobhi/Cauliflower cut into small florets
  • 5 tbsp Oil
  • 1 cup Onion Sliced
  • 2 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 4 tbsp Tomato puree
  • 4 tbsp Curd
  • 2 tbsp Achari masala
  • 1 tsp Red chilli powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Dry mango powder
  • 2 tbsp Fresh coriander chopped


  1. Add 2 tbsp oil in a pan.
  2. Add the gobhi florets and fry till slightly browned.
  3. Remove from the pan.
  4. Heat the pan again.
  5. Add the remaining oil in the pan.

  6. Add onion and fry till slightly browned.
  7. Add ginger garlic paste and fry for a minute.
  8. Add tomato puree and curd.
  9. Fry for a minute.
  10. Add achari masala, red chilli powder, salt and half cup of water.

  11. Fry for a minute.
  12. Add fried gobhi.
  13. Cover and cook for 10-12 minutes.

  14. Add lemon juice and dry mango powder.

  15. Mix well.
  16. Garnish with fresh coriander.
  17. Serve hot with phulka and dal rice.
