Pineapple Sauce has the best flavours of the tropical fruit. It is supremely easy to make this sauce at home.
Blend pineapple and garlic in a blender to make a coarse mixture.
Add the pineapple mixture in a pan alone with pineapple juice, vinegar, lemon juice, lemon zest, brown sugar, red chilli flakes and salt.
Bring the mixture to a boil and cook for 5-6 minutes.
Mix cornflour in water and add it in the pan.
Cook until sauce thickens.
Remove the pan from heat and let the sauce cool down.
Store in a glass jar for up to a week in refrigerator.
To not blend the pineapple to a smooth puree. A coarse mix works best.
Reduce the amount of chilli flakes if you don't like too spicy food.
