Ingredients

  • 1 cup Bhagar
  • 1 tbsp Ghee
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 10-12 Curry Leaves
  • 2-3 Green Chillies Slit into half
  • 1/4 cup Peanuts Crushed
  • 1/2 cup Potato Peeled and cubed
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 and 1/2 cup Water
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Coriander Chopped

Instructions

  1. Wash the bhagar and drain using a soup strainer.

  2. Heat ghee in a pan.

  3. Once the ghee is hot, add cumin seeds, curry leaves and green chillies and let them crackle for a few seconds.

  4. Add peanuts and fry until they turn brown.

  5. Add potatoes.

  6. Now add bhagar and salt in the pan.

  7. Add water and mix gently.

  8. Cover the pan and cook on low heat until bhagar is softened and all the liquid is absorbed.

  9. Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot.

Recipe Notes

You can dry roast bhagar for a more nutty flavour.

The ratio of water to bhagar is important for a perfect consistency. Do follow it.
