Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Mustard Oil
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 2 tsp Garlic Chopped
  • 2-3 Dry Red Chilli
  • 1 cup Tomato Grated
  • 1 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
  • 300 g Mooli/ Radish Peeled and cut into 1/2 inch thick roundels.
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Coriander Chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat mustard oil in a pan.

  2. Once the oil is hot, add cumin seeds, garlic and dry red chillies and fry for a few seconds.

  3. Add tomato and ginger and cook for 2 minutes.

  4. Add coriander powder, turmeric powder and red chilli powder and cook for another minute.

  5. Now add mooli, salt and 1/2 cup water.

  6. Cover the pan and cook until mooli is softened.

  7. Open the lid and cook for 2-3 minutes on high heat.

  8. Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot.

Recipe Notes

You can add onion in the masala if you wish to. 

Chop the mooli instead of slicing if you wish to.
