Amritsari Pista Badam Tea is adelicious twist on your regular masala chai. Make this Giani tea stall copycat tea recipe at home using my simple recipe.
Add water, milk, and chai masala powder into a small pot and bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
Reduce the heat to medium and cook for 2 minutes.
Now add the black tea leaves and sugar and cook for another 2 minutes.
Strain the ready tea using a fine mesh strainer in 2 serving cups.
Make The Froth
While the tea is cooking, make the froth. Add milk to a small pan and bring it to a boil over medium-high heat.
Once the milk comes to a boil, pull it between 2 utensils from height to create the foam on top. You can also use a coffee frother or an electric milk frother to make the froth.
Make The Topping
Add almonds, pistachios, and green cardamom into a mortar and crush them using the pestle.
Assemble The Tea
Top the tea with some of the milk froth and top with crushed almonds, pistachios and green cardamom. Serve hot.
Tip - Use the leftover milk below the froth to make other recipes.
