Loaded with fall flavors, this effortless Pumpkin Pie Spice Smoothie is a great way to start your day. It is full of antioxidants, fibers, vitamins, and proteins and comes together in under 5 minutes.
1cupchilled yogurt full-fat, low fat or plant-based
¼teaspoonvanilla extract
½teaspoonpumpkin pie spice mixhomemade or bottled
2teaspoonshoneyuse agave syrup or maple syrup for a vegan smoothie
¼cupchilled milk whole, skim, low fat or plant-based
Instructions
Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.
Add some more milk if the smoothie is thick for your liking. Check for the sweetness and add more sweetened if needed.
Pour the smoothie into the serving glass. Sprinkle cinnamon powder and chopped roasted pecans on top. Serve chilled.
You can add a few ice cubes to each glass for a super chilled smoothie.
Notes
Use a high-speed blender to make the smoothie.We don’t want chunks of fruits coming in your mouth. Add more liquid if the smoothie is too thick.You can add more ingredients and make a new variation.Some of the options are spinach, pineapple, banana, cherry, avocado and mango.Make a green pumpkin smoothie by adding greens like spinach, swiss chard, or kale to it.Nut butter like peanut butter, almond butter, etc can be added to it as well. Other add-on options are flaxseed meal, chia seeds, and hemp seeds.You can add a scoop of protein powder or whey protein to this smoothie if you wish to.If you have forgotten to freeze the banana, add a few crushed ice cubes while blending the smoothie.
