This refreshing strawberry lassi is a delicious take on the classic Indian lassi which is a beverage made using yogurt. Make it in under 5 minutes using 4 ingredients.
2cupschilled plain yogurtfull-fat, Greek, or low-fat
¼cupchilled milk
2tablespoonsgranulated sugaror honey
¼teaspoonground cardamomor rose water
Instructions
Wash strawberries and wipe them using a kitchen cloth. Chop off the top leafy part and cut the strawberry into small pieces.
Note – If using frozen strawberries, then use them directly. If your blender is not powerful, then thaw the strawberries for 10 minutes for easy blending.
Add the chopped strawberries to a blender and blend until smooth.
Add yogurt, milk, sugar, and cardamom to the blender and blend well.
Pour the smoothie into two tall glasses and serve chilled. You can add a few ice cubes to each glass too.
You can use vegan milk and yogurt to make a vegan version of this lassi.You can easily double or triple the recipe if making it for a crowd.To make the lassi extra creamy, you can replace half of the yogurt with half and half or low-fat cream.
