Yauatcha has made its mark across the globe for its dimsums and opened its doors to Bangalore customers last year. Its name has been doing rounds whenever we discuss the delicious food options in Bangalore. I was invited for a review of their offerings along with some fellow bloggers a few days back and I am glad I could visit the place.. It was a perfect Sunday brunch I’ve had in some time with a detailed 5 course menu including 24 types of dimsums.
Yauatcha for records is also a Michelin star restaurant, an award reserved for special few restaurants, it hopes to delight food connoisseurs and aficionados of the city with its international authentic dining experience. I was explained the minute level of details they focus on, right from setup of cutlery to serving of food being designed and followed to the mark.
I must say the ambiance setting and food were just perfect for a special occasion or just a walk-in and I enjoyed every bit of the experience.
Huge effort has been taken to keep the interiors and display in theme with the restaurant in London. The table settings, the lamps over head and even the kitchen layout maintains the standards. The kitchen at Yauatcha is a traditional Open Dimsum kitchen. It is divided into sections for each technique which makes the work flow easy and efficient.
The dips and sauces neatly arranged on the counter.
We started with the huge selections of the Dimsums on the menu. The restaurant makes sure you eat your food steaming hot, just out from the kitchen as the flavors gets lost once the food is cold. So instead of large servings, the food comes in small portions and is replaced as soon as you have finished the plate. Each and every Dimsum is done to perfection and even the minute details have been given much importance. Yautcha is definitely a must visit place for this Dimsum experience.
After we sampled all the Dimsums, it was time for the main course. I must admit that I had no space left to eat anything else, but the way dishes were presented made me stuff myself with even more food. Here are a few pictures of the main course menu. Many more dishes came to the table apart from these.
Mantao sweet buns which can be paired with any gravies.
Braised pork belly
Stir fried chicken in rice wrap
The desserts are definitely the show stoppers. They are a piece of art in themselves and I have no doubt when the management says that they are most Instagrammed desserts in Bangalore. We were served raspberry delight, mango mascarpone gateaux, chocolate hazelnut mousse and assorted macaroons. Perfect in taste and gorgeous in presentation, do not miss out on dessert when at Yauatcha.
If you want to taste a perfect international taste and specially dimsums, Yauatcha is a perfect place to go. Centrally located in Bangalore, it is accessible from all parts of the city. You are sure to head this way many number of times.
