is a refreshing Indian summer drink made using cumin seeds. Here is how to make it.

cumin seeds

black peppercorns

granulated sugar

black salt

teaspoons
chaat masala powder

water

tablespoon
lime juice
chilled club soda

Instructions
Dry roast cumin seeds and black peppercorns until slightly browned over medium heat, stirring frequently.
Remove the pan from the heat and let the spices cool down for 5 minutes.
Add the roasted spices to a grinder and grind to make a fine powder.
Transfer this powder to a nonstick pan with sugar, black salt, chaat masala powder, and water. Mix well.
Cook over medium heat for 10-12 minutes to make a thick syrup, stirring frequently.
Remove the pan from the heat.
Pass the syrup through a fine-mesh strainer.
You can now store this syrup in a glass bottle for up to a month.
To make jeera soda, add 3-4 ice cubes to a glass.
Add lime juice and 2 tablespoon of jeera syrup to the glass.
Note
- Stir the syrup before using.
Top the glass with soda and stir to combine. Serve immediately.
