Press espresso coffee into a mug or heatproof glass.
Froth 5 oz (150 ml) hot milk using a handheld milk frother or a French press or steam it using your espresso machine.
Add hazelnut syrup to the espresso coffee and stir to combine.
Pour the frothed milk into the cup.
Add sugar if required.
Serve.
You can top the coffee with some whipped cream. Sprinkle with some toasted crushed hazelnuts or chocolate chips.

If you don’t have an espresso machine, brew strong coffee in the regular coffee pot, french press, or moka pot. You can also use Instant coffee powder dissolved in water.You can use plant-based milk, such as almond milk, coconut milk, oat milk, or soy milk, for a vegan version.To make it chilled, fill a tall glass with ice cubes. Pour cooled-down espresso and hazelnut syrup over the ice and stir to combine. Top with cooled-down frothed milk and stir well. Serve.
