Kalakand Wontons is a delicious Indian fusion recipe that is perfect to make this festive season. Make it in just 10 minutes using store-bought or homemade kalakand and wonton wrappers.
Mix all-purpose and water in a bowl to make a thick slurry. Set aside.
Thaw the wonton wrappers and lay one sheet on the work surface. Keep the rest of the sheets covered with a cloth to prevent them from drying.
Apply the flour slurry on the sides of the wonton wrappers.
Take 1 teaspoon of kalakand and make it into a round. Keep the round in the center of the sheet and bring the end together to make a triangle. Secure the ends well.
Apply some more slurry on the opposite sides of the triangle and bring them to overlap each other.
Make sure all the sides are secure well and there is no way for the kalakand to leak out.
Shape all the wontons in the same manner.
Heat oil for frying in a pan over medium-high heat. Drop the wontons in hot oil and reduce the heat to medium. Fry the wontons until crispy and browned. Flip them a few times while frying.
Drain on a plate lined with paper towels.
Garnish with silver foil and rose petals. Serve hot.
