About Frozen Spring Rolls In Air Fryer
Cooking Frozen Spring Rolls in Air Fryer is one of the best ways to cook Chinese spring rolls. No mess, no clean-up, and the method use very little oil as compared to deep frying them.
No excess oil means that the Air Fried Frozen Spring Rolls are healthier than the deep-fried ones!
This air fryer method will give you perfectly golden brown and crispy spring rolls (egg rolls) from the freezer to the plate in under 20 minutes.
The only difference between air-fried frozen spring rolls and deep-fried spring rolls is the color. The deep-fried ones are darker in color than the air-fried ones but the crispness of both is comparable.
Serve them as a snack or a delicious appetizer with your favorite dipping sauce for birthday parties, game nights, movie nights, house parties, or a simple Chinese meal.
You can also make your other favorite frozen foods like frozen French fries or tater tots etc in the air fryer too.

Pro Tips By Neha
Every air fryer model is different, so you may have to adjust the time accordingly. Start with 7 + 7 minutes of cooking time, and then increase the cooking time if they are still not crispy or warm through.
The cooking time will be different for different-sized egg rolls. Adjust it accordingly too.
Always cook in a single layer, so that the spring rolls cook evenly. Layering will give you soggy spring rolls. If you want to cook more, then do that in batches.
I never pre-heat the air fryer and my spring rolls turn perfectly fine every time.
Frequently Asked Questions
No, there is no need to thaw them. Directly place them from the freezer in the air fryer basket in a single layer and air fry until crisp.
If your spring rolls are not cooked through, there might be a few reasons for it, such as,
– The air fryer was overcrowded and the spring rolls were not placed in a single layer.
– You didn’t turn the spring rolls halfway (after 7 minutes).
– You didn’t adjust the time according to your air fryer.
– Large spring rolls might take more time as compared to mini egg rolls. So keep that in consideration too.
I never preheat my air fryer and my spring rolls turn out perfectly cooked and crispy.
If you do not own an air fryer, then you can either bake them in a conventional oven or deep fry them. To bake, place them in a baking tray in a single layer, brush with oil, and bake at 200 degrees C for about 20 minutes. Flip once midway and brush oil on the other side as well.
To deep-fry, heat oil in a pan, and once it is hot enough, drop the spring rolls. Deep fry until golden brown and crisp.
Serving Suggestions
These delicious air fryer frozen egg rolls would taste great with a dipping sauce such as Thai Sweet Chili Sauce, Yum Yum Sauce, Bang Bang Sauce, Gyoza Dipping Sauce, Peanut Sauce, or any spicy sauce or dip of your choice. Serve them as an easy appetizer or a quick snack for the whole family.
I like to mix a little fish sauce in dark soy sauce and serve it as a dip with this great appetizer.
Storage Suggestions
Serve these delicious spring rolls right out of the air fryer, hot and crispy. They tend to get soft if not consumed immediately and don’t taste as good as the hot crispy ones.
The leftover spring rolls can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
You can reheat them in an air fryer or an oven. Do not microwave, otherwise, you will lose the crispiness.
In An Oven – Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Place the spring rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or foil. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until heated through. Enjoy!
In An Air Fryer – To reheat the spring rolls in an air fryer, preheat the air fryer to 375 degrees F. Then, place the spring rolls on the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry for 3-4 minutes until heated through.
In A Pan – To reheat the spring rolls in a pan, heat up some oil in a frying pan on medium heat. Add the spring rolls to the pan and cook for about 2 minutes per side or until heated through and slightly crispy.
