About Air Fryer Toast
Who doesn’t love golden crispy perfect toast for breakfast? Well, I do! And ever since I learned to make toast in an air fryer, It has become my go-to method to make it.
Is it better than toasting in a toaster oven? Well, not really. But my air fryer is kept permanently on the counter while I have to pull out the toaster from the cabinet. Getting rid of the few extra steps of pulling out the toaster and then stashing it back in the cabinet, is a game-changer for me, I am sure you will agree!
Plus, air fryer toasts are just perfect. Crispy, golden brown, and perfectly toasted.
The time of toasting may vary depending on the thickness of your bread and how crispy you want it to be. Toast one or two pieces of bread at a time in a single layer, do not overlap for better results.
You can line the air fryer tray with parchment paper to keep it clean. Make sure to leave some space on the sides for the airflow.
If you are a college student or have a limited kitchen with an air fryer, this is a great recipe for you. Make a toast in an air fryer on busy mornings and top it with your favorite toppings for an easy breakfast option.

How To Make Air Fryer Toast
Place your bread in the air fryer basket.

Set the temperature to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C), and air fry for 2 minutes.
Pull the basket out and flip the toast.

Air fry for another 2 minutes or until the toast is golden brown.
If you have very thinly sliced bread, your toast will probably be done in 3 minutes instead of 4 minutes. If you like your toast dark, add 30 seconds more.
Each air fryer is different and the toasting time may vary depending on your model. I suggest toasting the bread once and setting your perfect time.
You may hear your toast moving around in the air fryer oven but worry not. Because of the hot air circulating inside the air fryer, the toast may move inside the basket.
Top the warm toast with butter, jam, avocado, jelly, or peanut butter. Enjoy!

Serving Suggestions
Once your toasted bread is ready, the serving opportunities are endless. You can top it with your favorite toppings. Here are some suggestions for sweet toppings and savory toppings.
Slather butter, jam, jelly, cream cheese, nut butter, or Nutella on the crisp toast to serve for breakfast. My personal favorites are almond butter and white unsalted butter.
Top the toast with avocado and make avocado toast. You can also add a grated boiled egg over the avocado for a filling breakfast. You can also replace the grated boiled egg with a sunny-side-up or a poached egg.
Serve it with Greek Omelette, Indian Masala Omelette, or Mushroom Omelette.
Serve it on the side with eggs or soup for a light dinner.
Top it with veggies and fruits and make a refreshing bruschetta. I like to top a piece of toast with some whipped ricotta cheese, top with fresh fruits, and then drizzle honey or maple syrup on top for a quick dessert.
Cut the toast into small pieces and add the pieces to salads.
Storage Suggestions
Although bread toasted in an air fryer remains crisp for a long time, it tastes the best right after it comes out of the air fryer. As it takes just a few minutes, I recommend toasting it just before you want to serve it.
