The thing about life is that it deserves change and variety. Be it in terms of fresh perspectives for boosting your creativity or when it comes to making and savouring something different at least once or twice a month.

So, often for brunch and dinner, instead of making an extensive platter, I take an easier route and make a refreshing, new dish once or twice a month. Guess what, it works out so well with my crazy foodie family that more often than not I succumb to their demands of eating something awesome and we end up relishing Snow Peas and Mushroom Stir Fry, Chettinad Fish Fry, Asian Tofu and Vegetables Stir Fry often.

This weekend with summer full on spring, I was all set to try out something tropical, delicious and quick. My culinary research brought me across this wonderful Sesame Pineapple Pepper Fry Recipe and it wouldn’t be wise to keep it untried, right?

Having prepared various pineapple based recipes like Pineapple Basundi, Virgin Pineapple Mojito, Pineapple Pachadi and even Thai Pineapple Fried Rice many times before, I was sure that even Sesame Pineapple Pepper Fry Recipe would turn out well and indeed it did!

Sesame Pineapple Pepper Fry Recipe is a flavourful and easy to make, sizzling, sweet, spicy and tangy tropical dish that instantly wins your taste buds.  The fine mix of sesame oil, cubed pineapple,  honey, sesame seeds, red chilli sauce, make this dish so satiating that you cannot help but trip over it again and again.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 1 cup Mixed Colour peppers Cubed
  • 1 cup Pineapple Cubed
  • 2 and 1/2 tbsp Red Chilli sauce
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Chilli Flakes
  • 1 and 1/2 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 tsp White Sesame Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Black Sesame Seeds
  • 2 tsp Spring Onion Greens Chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat sesame oil in a wok.

  2. When oil becomes hot add mixed bell peppers.

  3. Saute them on high flame for 4-5 mins.

  4. They must remain crunchy.

  5. Add pineapple pieces along with red chilli sauce, salt, chilli flakes and honey.

  6. Toss everything nicely.

  7. Add lemon juice and switch off the flame.

  8. Add white and black sesame seeds and mix well.

  9. Garnish with spring onion greens.

  10. Serve immediately .

Recipe Notes

Adjust the amount of chilli sauce according to your taste.
