There are days when Mohit and I like to go carb-free for dinner. For such days, I like to make something with chicken, fish, tofu, or paneer and serve it with a nice salad.

This fish recipe is perfect for creating a delicious yet low-carb dish. It requires minimal cleanup and comes together quickly.

About Honey Garlic Fish

As the name suggests, Honey Garlic Fish is fish cooked in a honey garlic-flavored sauce.

It is a great dinner dish that comes together in under 20 minutes using simple ingredients. Serve it with steamed rice or quinoa for a comforting meal. You can also serve it with salad.

Ingredients

Fish – I used boneless basa pieces, but you can use any white fish of your choice. Cod, tilapia, halibut, sole, and grouper, among others, work great in this recipe. You can also use salmon if you wish.

Instead of fish pieces, you can use fish fillets.

To make the sauce, you will need light olive oil, honey, garlic, soy sauce, black pepper powder, and lime juice.

Garnish the dish with chopped green onions.

Pro Tips By Neha

I did not add salt to this recipe as the soy sauce is very salty. If you find the salt is too little for your taste, add more as needed.

  1. 5 stars
Just cooked up a half batch, it was so good, although the next time I make it I’ll try 1.5 TBS of soy sauce instead of the full 2 as I’m a bit of a soy sauce sook ( just a heads up for anyone else who is a sook )
Thank you for this recipe, I’ve had a bag of Basa fillets in the freezer for months just sitting there, and I will definitely be making more of this to use it up.

  2. Do you think this would taste good over sautรฉed cabbage? Would it be a good idea to double the sauce and mix it all together or is there enough sauce as written. Thanks!
