We can say, that it is the ultimate comfort food in India. It tastes even more delicious in the cold weather or when the rain is pouring in! So the days I am too lazy to make those delicious Pakoras, I make Maggie. And not just the simple maggie, I like to give it a twist and make it even more delicious with exciting flavors.
One of those Maggie recipes is this Chill Cheese Maggi. This winter, why not cuddle under a warm blanket with a bowl of hot Maggi that’s oozing with cheesy goodness.
A very subtly flavored dish, this recipe is one that your kids are going to request you to make over and over again. Well my kiddo loves it and I will not lie but even I enjoy relishing this cheesy bowl of goodness.
This Maggi recipe is super simple to make. Anytime you’re hungry and looking to make a quick snack, give this cheesy Maggi a try. You can serve this for lunch to the kiddos or you can also whip it up as a quick snack once they are back from school.
It is a delicious twist to our usual maggi, where I have added green chillies, veggies, and cheese to add some extra flavor. It has a slightly creamy texture due to the addition of cheese.

Step by Step Recipe
Heat vegetable oil in a pan. You can use ghee in place of oil.
Add onion and green chilli and fry for 2-3 minutes.
Add peas, carrot, cheese and maggi.
Now add it’s tastemaker.
Add 1 and 1/2 cups of water.
Cook for 2 minutes. Stir nicely and cook for another minute. Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot.
Frequently Asked Questions
You can use cheddar cheese or processed cheese. Both these will melt in heat and make the maggi very cheesy. If you like gooey stringy cheese, then use mozarella. You can even use a mix of cheese.
I have added carrots and peas, but you can go ahead and add vegetables of your choice such as bell pepper, beans, corn, mushroom, spring onions, etc.
Any Instant noodles will work great in this recipe.
Chilli Cheese Maggi Recipe
- 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil
- 1/4 cup Onion (Chopped)
- 2 tsp Green Chilli (Chopped)
- 1/4 cup Peas
- 1/4 cup Carrot (Chopped)
- 1/2 cup Processed Cheese (Grated)
- 1 pack Maggi
- 1 tbsp Coriander (Chopped)
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan.
- Add onion and green chilli and fry for 2-3 minutes.
- Add peas, carrot, cheese, maggi and it’s taste maker along with 1 and 1/2 cups of water.
- Cook for 2 minutes.
- Stir nicely and cook for another minute.
- Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot.
