About Sour Cream Pasta Sauce
This Sour Cream Pasta Sauce is the easiest and yummiest pasta sauce you can make on a busy day.
It is creamy, needs simple pantry ingredients, and comes together in under 15 minutes.
Once the sauce is ready, all you need to do is to toss in some cooked pasta and sauteed veggies or protein and a quick meal is ready in no time.
Double or triple the recipe for a bigger crowd.
Ingredients
Sour Cream – I prefer to use my homemade full-fat sour cream, but you can even go for light or fat-free sour cream to cut down on the calories.
Butter – Adds a rich flavor to the sauce. You can use salted or unsalted butter.
Garlic – Use fresh garlic for the best taste.
Flour – It makes the sauce thick and creamy. To make the pasta sauce healthier, replace it with whole wheat flour.
Milk – Use whole milk for a rich and creamy sauce. You can also make it with low-fat or skim milk.
Seasonings – Season the sauce with salt, pepper, and nutmeg powder. Adjust it according to your choice.
You can also add the seasoning of your choice such as Cajun seasoning, mustard, red pepper flakes, paprika, etc for added flavor.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, you can use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream in pasta sauce. Greek yogurt has a similar tangy flavor and creamy consistency, making it a suitable substitute.
