About Chocolate Lassi

I had a friend visiting me yesterday evening, and I wanted to serve her something refreshing as the days are really hot. So, I made this delicious chocolate lassi for her.

This lassi is a variation of the classic sweet Lassi with chocolate added. It comes together quickly using a few simple ingredients.

You can serve it as an evening snack or any time during the day when you feel like sipping something refreshing. Kids will love this drink, too.

Ingredients

Yogurt – For the best texture and consistency, use full-fat yogurt to make lassi. You can also use Greek yogurt instead.

If using homemade yogurt, make sure it’s not too sour.

Sweetened Condensed Milk makes the lassi rich and thick and also adds sweetness.

Chocolate – I prefer Cadbury’s chocolate, but you can use any chocolate you choose.

Others – You will also need whole milk (full-fat milk), sugar, and water.

You can adjust the amount of sugar as per your taste.

How To Make Chocolate Flavored Lassi

Add 2 tablespoon whole milk, 2 tablespoon sweetened condensed milk, and 50 g chocolate (chopped) to a pan and cook on medium heat until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth. Stir frequently.

Milk, condensed milk and chocolate added to a pan.
Smooth mixture made.

Remove the pan from the heat and let the mixture cool down.

Whisk 3 cups of chilled plain yogurt, 2 cups chilled water, and ¼ cup sugar in a bowl using a wire whisk until the mixture is frothy and the sugar is dissolved.

Yogurt, water and sugar added in a bowl.
Whisked well.

Add the chocolate mixture to the bowl and whisk until combined.

Chocolate mixture added to the bowl.
Mixed well.

Pour the lassi into serving glasses and add a few ice cubes to each glass.

Garnish with chocolate curls and serve chilled.

Storage Suggestions

Chocolate Lassi tastes best when served fresh. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge in a covered container for about a day. Shake well before consuming.
