If you read my blogs, you know my love for teas. I love sipping on hot teas throughout the day, and I am always looking for new flavors to add to my collection.

I visited a restaurant recently and saw this pineapple ginger tea on their menu. It sounded very interesting, so I ordered myself a cup, and I am so glad I did. It was one of the most comforting and soothing teas I had tasted.

After coming back home, the first thing I did was order a pineapple to replicate the recipe. This tea was made repeatedly over the next few days. I made this drink without tea leaves, just like how it was served at the restaurant, but you can also make it with them.

You can make a big batch of this tea and refrigerate it in an airtight container for 3-4 days. Just reheat and serve.

Pineapple – Pineapple makes the base of this drink. Choose a ripe, juicy pineapple for this recipe, as its quality will make a big difference in the tea’s taste.

Ginger – Fresh ginger roots give this pineapple ginger tea a nice spicy kick. If fresh ginger is unavailable, you can use ground ginger in its place.

Turmeric – Use either fresh turmeric roots or turmeric powder.

Others – You will also need honey, lemon juice, and ice cubes.

Replace honey with maple syrup or agave nectar to make a vegan recipe.

You can also make this drink with tea leaves. Just add a teaspoon of black tea, chamomile, green tea, oolong tea, or Earl Grey tea once the tea is ready, and cook for an extra minute. Then follow the process as is.

  1. This sounds amazing, but to receive the full benefit of Turmeric, you must also have black pepper. I use organic black peppercorns in my detox water every morning.
