About This Recipe
Super crispy and hot, air fryer frozen french fries are an easy fuss-free snack, that does not require deep frying. They are air fried with very little oil and get ready in just 20 minutes.
These frozen french fries in an air fryer turn out just like the one you get in restaurants (crispy on the outside and soft from inside), with minimal oil. Just dump in the frozen fries in a preheated air fryer, spray a little oil and you will get crunchy and crispy french fries in minutes.
They are way much healthier than the deep-fried ones that you get in the restaurants and have the same crunchy texture to them. You can serve them with ketchup or any dipping sauce, and your delicious snack is ready to munch on.
For best result, air fry them in batches, so that they get cooked evenly and come out nice and crispy. You can stir them midway while cooking, for even cooking. You do not have to thaw the frozen fries, add them directly to the air fryer.

Frozen French Fries – You can get any frozen french fries from the store. Classic, crinkle cut, waffle cut, shoestring, or flavored, they all work great. You can even make french fries at home and freeze them for later use.
Oil – Use a cooking spray for this recipe. In case you do not have cooking spray, then apply a little olive oil or vegetable oil with a brush on the fries.
Seasoning – You can select any seasoning of your choice to flavor these french fries up.
How to make Air Fryer Frozen French Fries?
Preheat the air fryer at 400 degrees F. If your air fryer doesn’t have preheating option, then run it empty at 400 degrees F for 10 minutes. Brush or spray the basket with oil.
Transfer 1 lb of frozen french fries to the basket of the fryer and spray lightly with oil. I used a 4-quart fryer. If you are using a larger air fryer, you can fry more fries in one batch.
Close the basket and set the timer for 10 minutes.
Once the timer goes off, pull out the basket and add 2 tsp of seasoning on top of the fries.
Toss the fries very well using 2 large spoons. Put the basket back and set the timer to another 10 minutes. Serve hot.

Pro Tips By Neha
Cooking time needs to be adjusted depending on how crispy you want the fries, how thick they are. It also depends on the brand of the air fryer. It’s best to make the fries once and find your best time.
For the air fryer that doesn’t rotate, toss the fries very well mid-way.
If you have not pre heated the air fryer, the cooking time will be more.
Spray a little oil on the french fries. If you don’t have a spray, then apply a little oil on the fries with a brush.
If you are using a larger air fryer, then you can fry a bigger batch at the same time.
I will suggest you air fry the frozen french fries fresh, as they tend to lose their crispiness with time. They will turn soft after some time, which won’t taste as good as the fresh ones.
You can make fries and freeze beforehand so that you just have to air fry them without thawing when required.
Serve these air-fried french fries with ketchup, mayonnaise, or a creamy dipping sauce such as Yum Yum Sauce, Peri Peri Sauce, Boom Boom Sauce, Bang Bang Sauce, Creamy Garlic Parmesan Sauce or any other sauce you fancy.
You can serve these on the side along with burgers, sandwiches, wraps, Kathi rolls, hot dogs, etc. You can also serve it along with your grilled or roasted meat meals.
