    About Boom Boom Sauce

Boom Boom Sauce is an addictive mayonnaise-based sauce that can be used as a dip for about anything. It is sweet, tangy, and spicy, instantly making anything taste good.

This sauce is served at Sheetz gas stations with deep-fried pickles, and that’s how it became popular.

Boom Boom Sauce recipe combines mayonnaise, sriracha, sweet chili sauce, yellow mustard, and tomato ketchup. Adding garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper further makes it more versatile and delicious.

Making it at home takes just 5 minutes, and the homemade sauce tastes fabulous.

There are no added preservatives, colors, or stabilizers, and it is inexpensive to make at home.

I like to make this sauce a few hours ahead of serving. By doing so, the flavors get together very well.

The best part is that this flavorful sauce can be made several days before.

This recipe makes about 1 and ½ cups of sauce. You can half, double, or triple the recipe as needed.

No pan, stove, or blender; mix in the sauce in a bowl, and it is ready to devour.

Here are some more sauce recipes you can make at home that are better than the store-bought ones

    Frequently Asked Questions

Can you make this sauce without mayonnaise?

To make a healthy boom boom sauce without mayonnaise, replace mayonnaise with ½ cup of plain Greek yogurt and 2 tablespoons of tahini. Keep the rest of the recipe the same.

    Pro Tips By Neha

If the sauce is too thick, you can thin it using water, pickle, relish, or lime juice.

You can adjust the quantity of the ingredients depending on your taste buds.

    Variations

Garlic Parmesan: Add some grated parmesan cheese and roasted garlic to the original recipe for a rich and savory twist.

Vegan: If you want to make a vegan version, you can replace the regular mayonnaise with eggless vegan mayonnaise.

Sweet: To add a touch of sweetness, add some honey, brown sugar, or maple syrup to the sauce.

Spicy: For those who like it hot, add more hot sauce, cayenne pepper, or diced jalapeños to the original recipe.

You can also add seasonings like cajun spice powder, 5 spice powder, 7 spice, etc., for a fun twist.

    Usage Ideas

Well, you can use it in anything. When I say anything, I mean anything.

This sauce goes well with grilled chicken, vegetables, or fish.

It is a fantastic dipping sauce with chicken tenders, onion rings, sweet potato fries, French fries, and baked sweet potato wedges.

Use it in your burgers, hotdogs, hamburgers, sandwiches, wraps, rolls, or tacos.

Serve this creamy sauce with your chips, nachos, or other crackers.

It also tastes great with deep-fried snacks like chicken tempura.

You can use it as a dip or a spread in your sandwiches. I sometimes even like to use it as my salad dressing.

    Storage Suggestions

You can refrigerate this sauce for up to a month. Just make sure there are no fresh ingredients added to it.

The more this sauce sits, the more the flavors can combine, and the better it tastes.

You can freeze the leftover sauce in an airtight container for up to 6 months. Thaw and serve.
