Ingredients & Substitutes

Feta Cheese – Use goat’s milk feta or sheep’s milk feta cheese, whichever is easily available. Try to use soft Feta cheese that has been packed in brine instead of a vacuum-packed block of feta for the best result.
Bring the cheese to room temperature so that it is softened a little making the blending process easier.
If feta cheese is not available, then you can use goat cheese or any other soft white cheese.
Cream Cheese & Yogurt – The addition of cream cheese and Greek yogurt makes the dip creamier, smoother, and fluffier. You can replace yogurt with mayonnaise or sour cream for a richer dip.
Extra-Virgin Olive Oil – Use the best quality one!
Lemon Zest – Adds freshness to the dip, which makes it so refreshing to eat.
Garlic – Fresh garlic gives a lovely flavor to the dip.
Seasonings – Dried oregano, dried basil, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes are the seasonings used in the dip.
You can also add some garlic powder or lemon juice to the recipe.
The dip can also be topped with some kalamata olives, a drizzle of honey, caramelized onions, roasted garlic, etc.
