About Yogurt Mayonnaise Dip
Yogurt Mayonnaise Dip is a healthier take on classic ranch dip with some of the mayonnaise replaced with Greek yogurt.
This dip comes together in under 10 minutes using simple ingredients and is great to serve as a party appetizer with french fries, nachos, crackers, potato chips, or fresh veggie sticks. It is also great to slather on sandwiches and wraps.
Making this dip at home is much better than buying a packet because

- Tastes much better than the store-bought one.
- Made using high-quality ingredients.
- Free of artificial colors and flavors.
- Much economical.
This dip recipe is gluten-free and you can double or triple the recipe as per your requirement.
Ingredients & Variations

Greek Yogurt – Greek yogurt gives this dip a healthy touch, without losing on the creaminess. Regular yogurt can also be used, but Greek yogurt is recommended for a creamier texture.
Tip – To make thick yogurt using plain yogurt, line a fine-mesh strainer with a muslin cloth. Add the yogurt to the strainer and let it sit over a bowl for 20 minutes. All the extra water will drip down and you will get thick yogurt.
Mayonnaise – The full-fat mayonnaise gives you a creamier dip. You can also choose light mayo to save on some calories.
Sour Cream – Adds a slightly tangy taste along with adding to the creamy texture. I have a super simple recipe to make sour cream at home. Do check it out.
Italian Seasoning – Italian seasoning adds more flavors making the dip even more addictive.
Extra Virgin Olive Oil – Use a high-quality one!
Others – You will also need garlic, freshly squeezed lime juice, lime zest, red pepper flakes, salt, and ground black pepper.
Lime juice and zest can be replaced with lemon juice and lemon zest.
You can also add fresh herbs like fresh parsley, fresh chives, or basil but the shelf life will reduce a little.
Add a little heat to the dip by adding some hot sauce or cayenne pepper.

Storage Suggestions
Yogurt mayo dip will last for about 3-4 days when stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Make sure to use a clean and dry spoon every time you take out the dip, it will make it last longer.
This dip might become a little thick after refrigerating, so thin it down with water before use.
It is not freezer-friendly! Greek yogurt, mayo, and sour cream – all 3 ingredients will split after thawing and won’t taste great.

This is an awesome garlic sauce recipe! Thank you for posting. My only change was substituting extra mayo for the sour cream as I didn’t have any, and my Greek yogurt was 0%. I used it to top some homemade chickpea burgers and it was perfect. I bet it is fantastic with chips too

My new favorite veg dip. I used 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper as I had no crushed red pepper flakes.
