This turmeric lemonade is a great way to include this super ingredient in your family’s diet. Try it.

About Turmeric Lemonade

Turmeric Lemonade is a refreshing drink with turmeric added to the classic lemonade. It is easy to make and comes together quickly using simple ingredients.

The ingredients used in this recipe have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anti-bacterial properties. They also boost immunity.

Ingredients

Turmeric Powder – I used organic turmeric powder to make this drink, but you can also use fresh turmeric roots.

Lemon Juice – Use freshly squeezed lemon juice. You can use lime juice instead of lemon juice.

Use honey or maple syrup to sweeten the lemonade.

Fresh Ginger Root gives a nice kick to this drink.

Add a little black pepper powder to enhance the absorption of turmeric.

You will also need ice cubes, lemon slices, and mint leaves.

How To Make Turmeric Flavored Lemonade

Combine the following ingredients in a large pitcher.

  • 4 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric (or 1 tablespoon grated fresh turmeric)
  • ¼ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoon honey (or maple syrup)
  • ⅛ teaspoon black pepper powder
  • ½ teaspoon grated ginger
All ingredients added to a pitcher.

Stir thoroughly until the honey is completely dissolved and all ingredients are well combined.

If you prefer a smoother drink, strain the lemonade through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the grated turmeric and ginger pieces.

Pour the lemonade into glasses over ice cubes.

Garnish with lemon slices and fresh mint leaves for an extra refreshing touch. Serve chilled.
