It’s not lychee season yet, but I saw some at a specialty supermarket today and couldn’t resist buying a pack. We ate a few as is, and then I made this refreshing lemonade using the rest to update this recipe. Do try this lychee lemonade when litchis are in season!

About Lychee Lemonade (Litchi Lemonade)

Lychee Lemonade (Litchi Lemonade) is a delicious tropical twist on the classic lemonade recipe where lychee pulp is added to it. It is super refreshing and a perfect drink for hot summer afternoons. This refreshing drink has a sweet floral flavor and a nice tang.

Just like the traditional lemonade, this classic lychee lemonade recipe is also super easy to make. It comes together in under 10 minutes using just four simple ingredients.

Ingredients

Lychee lemonade ingredients

Lychees (Litchi) – Although I like to use fresh litchies, you can also use frozen or canned lychees to make the lemonade. If you use fresh lychees, peel and deseed them before using them. Fresh lychee fruits should be available in your local Asian grocery store during the summer months.

This tropical fruit has many health benefits. You can read about them here.

Lime Juice – Freshly squeezed lime juice gives the best taste to this lemonade. You can also replace it with fresh lemon juice.

Sugar – I used granulated white sugar, but you can also use maple syrup or agave nectar.

Others – You will also need chilled water, ice cubes, mint leaves, and lime slices.

You can replace water with club soda or sparkling water.

How To Make Lychee Lemonade

Add the following ingredients to the blender jar and blend to make a paste.

  • 25-30 peeled and de-seeded lychees
  • 4 tablespoon granulated white sugar
  • 8 tablespoon freshly squeezed lime juice
