    About This Recipe

If you are someone who loves hard-boiled eggs for breakfast, then you must definitely give these air fryer hard-boiled eggs a try! No boiling in the water, no constant watch, and extremely easy to make, this method to cook eggs will be your new favorite.

I have tried boiling the eggs on the stovetop, in an oven, and in an instant pot but this method is hands down the best and the easiest.

Just add cold eggs to the basket of the air fryer, set the timer, and let the air fryer do its magic. You will have your eggs hard-boiled in just 30 minutes. Add a little seasoning on top, enjoy them as it is, or use them for meal prep, the choice is yours.

    Ingredients

    Eggs kept in a bowl.

You can cook fewer or more eggs depending on the size of your air fryer. The only thing to keep in mind is to not overload the basket. There must be space between eggs for air circulation. Use white or brown eggs, whichever you prefer.

Make sure that the eggs don’t have any cracks and are cold before adding to the air fryer basket. If they’re not cold, reduce the time to 25 minutes.

    Pro Tips By Neha

Each air fryer is different and so it might be possible that you don’t get perfectly cooked eggs in 30 minutes at the given temperature. I suggest cooking 1-2 eggs to start with and when they turn out perfect, go ahead and cook eggs in larger quantities. The altitude might also affect the cooking time.

Sometimes eggs get brown spots on the shell but do not worry. It happens if you haven’t cleaned your air fryer for a while. The eggs are still fine to consume.

Make sure to not overcrowd the basket so that eggs cook perfectly and evenly.

You might see some raised spots on the outer shell of the eggs, it is because of hot air circulating inside the air fryer. It won’t affect the eggs inside.

Once the eggs are cooked, transfer them to a bowl filled with ice-cold water to stop the cooking process immediately.

In case your air fryer doesn’t have a basket, you can use a grill rack or mesh rack to place the eggs.

How To Make Air Fryer Hard Boiled Eggs

Place the eggs at the bottom of the air fryer basket. Set the temp to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C) and the timer to 30 minutes.

Once the timer goes off, transfer the eggs using a tong to a bowl filled with ice water to stop the cooking.

    Usage Suggestions

I love to eat hard-boiled eggs as it is with a little sprinkle of salt and pepper and a side of crisp toast. You can also top them with other seasonings and enjoy them as a snack. Or maybe use them to make deviled eggs.

Add these hard-boiled eggs to your favorite salads such as Avocado Egg Salad, Deviled Egg Salad, Sriracha Egg Salad, Bacon & Cheddar Egg Salad, Cobb Salad, etc.

Use them to make the filling for sandwiches, wraps, breakfast casserole, etc. Add them to Portuguese Pizza that needs boiled eggs.

Add the boiled eggs to Indian or Continental dishes like Egg Masala, Kerala Egg Curry, Egg Biryani, Chettinad Egg Curry, or Egg Butter Masala. You can even add it to rice bowls, buddha bowls for added protein.

    Storage Suggestions

These hard-boiled eggs will last for about a week in the refrigerator. Peel or unpeeled, store them in a closed container.
