    About This Recipe

Green Apple Juice (Granny Smith Apple Juice) is a 3 ingredient healthy summer drink made using fresh green apples, celery, and honey. It is simple to make, loaded with nutrients, and easily digestible.

One glass of this refreshing fresh apple juice will keep you refreshed, and hydrated and will provide you instant energy.

Make the green apple juice recipe in a blender or a juicer, as per your preference. Keep in mind that the juice made in a cold-pressed juicer is healthier than that made in a blender. When pressed slowly, more nutrients are retained as they do not get destroyed by the heat.

    Green Apple Health Benefits

Green Apple is one of the most nutritious fruits that have many health benefits.

Apple has 90% water content, which is really helpful in summers when the sun soaks up all your energy. It will definitely make you feel refreshed and energized by keeping the body hydrated.

It is rich in essential vitamins like vitamin c, vitamin e, vitamin b6, and vitamin a.

Beneficial plant compounds are found in the apple peel, so include them in your juice.

It also improves heart health, lowers the risk of diabetes y controlling blood sugar, and is also a great source of fiber.

It is also great for weight loss as it keeps you filled for longer.

Green apples boost the intake of antioxidants and improve immunity as well.

Green Apples (Granny Smith Apples) – The slightly sweet and tangy taste of these apples makes this juice very delicious.

Celery – Celery and green apples pair very well and it also has many health benefits. You can also add other greens such as spinach, kale, or lettuce.

Honey – Honey balances that tartness of the green apples. It is completely optional though. Replace it with maple syrup for a vegan version.

    Variations

Add in other fruits and veggies such as cucumber, ginger, carrot, lime, pineapple, etc to make variations.

For an adult version, spike it with vodka, rum, tequila, or whisky.

    Frequently Asked Question

What is the best time to drink fresh granny smith apple juice?

The best time to drink this refreshing juice will be first thing in the morning. As your body is in fasting mode from the night, it absorbs the nutrients more effectively. It will also leave you hydrated and energized in the morning.
You can also enjoy it before or after your workout/exercise, as it will provide you with instant energy. Taking a sip of this juice mid-workout can also spike your energy levels.

    How to cut an apple?

Firstly, cut the stem (top part) of the apple. Now cut the apple in half from top to bottom. Take one half and cut it vertically into half again, making two quarters. Remove the core using a sharp knife and slice the apples into pieces.

Should we peel the apple or not?

It totally depends on you! I don’t like to peel it, as the skin is loaded with rich nutrients and vitamins.

    Storage Suggestions

Granny smith apple juice tastes the best when served fresh. You can refrigerate it in an airtight container for 2-3 days, but it will lose its freshness and taste with time.

Freeze it instead! It will last for 3 to 6 months. The freezing process does affect the taste of the juice, so taste it before serving it again.
